Overview
Prepares and reviews instrumentation drawings, cable documentation, hook-up drawings and installation details while coordinating design interfaces.
Scope of work
We are seeking a Senior Instrument Designer for a six-month assignment supporting instrumentation design deliverables on engineering projects. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing instrumentation drawings and documentation, with particular emphasis on cable diagrams, schedules, hook-up and installation details.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review instrumentation design drawings and related engineering deliverables.
- Develop and check cable block diagrams, cable schedules and associated design documentation.
- Prepare instrument hook-up drawings and installation details for field instrumentation.
- Review instrumentation drawings for technical accuracy, completeness and consistency with project specifications.
- Coordinate design interfaces and respond to drawing queries with relevant disciplines.
- Update design documentation and incorporate approved design changes as required.
Key requirements
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in instrumentation design and drawing production/review.
- Practical capability in cable block diagrams, cable schedules and instrument hook-up/installation drawings.
- Ability to review instrumentation design deliverables independently and identify discrepancies.
- Availability for a six-month assignment commencing by mid-November 2026.
