Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Overview

Reinforce the JV Instrumentation and Control discipline team as a working engineer, produce discipline

deliverables, and provide the Engineering Lead with early visibility of technical difficulties arising within the

discipline.

Scope of work

• Produce and check instrumentation and control deliverables assigned by the Discipline Lead, including

instrument index, instrument datasheets, control and safeguarding narratives, cause and effect diagrams,

junction box and cable schedules.

• Perform a technical pre review of discipline deliverables ahead of the formal review by the Engineering

Lead, and close obvious findings before formal issue.

• Support the review and technical evaluation of vendor documentation within the discipline, including

technical bid evaluations.

• Raise, in writing and without delay, any technical difficulty, missing input or deviation from the design

basis identified within the discipline.

• Contribute to the closure of interdisciplinary checks and to the resolution of clashes affecting the

discipline.

• Support less experienced engineers within the discipline on request of the Discipline Lead.

Key requirements

• Degree in Instrumentation, Control or Electrical engineering.
• Between 7 and 12 years of experience in oil and gas detailed engineering.
• Direct experience of offshore topsides detailed engineering, ideally FPSO or FPU.
• Practical working knowledge of offshore control and safeguarding systems, and integration of package
• control systems.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
