Overview
We are seeking an FPSO Structural Engineer to support the detailed engineering phase of a floating production, storage and offloading project. The role covers hull and topsides structural design, working alongside naval architecture, piping and marine systems teams from our Kuala Lumpur office. This is a 12 month contract starting September 2026.

OVERVIEW
We are seeking an FPSO Structural Engineer to support the detailed engineering phase of a floating production, storage and offloading project. The role covers hull and topsides structural design, working alongside naval architecture, piping and marine systems teams from our Kuala Lumpur office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and review structural design of FPSO hull and topsides modules
Perform global and local strength analysis, including fatigue and buckling checks
Prepare structural design reports, calculations and specifications
Review and approve structural drawings and fabrication documentation
Carry out scantling assessments and reinforcement design
Support weight control and centre of gravity reporting
Interface with naval architecture, piping, mechanical and marine systems disciplines
Liaise with Class societies and support design appraisal submissions
Review vendor and subcontractor structural deliverables
Ensure compliance with project specifications, Class rules and applicable codes
REQUIREMENTS
7-10 years of structural engineering experience in offshore oil and gas
Proven FPSO, FSO or floating production experience at detailed engineering stage
Strong capability in structural analysis software such as SACS, ANSYS, Abaqus or Genie
Working knowledge of Class rules (DNV, ABS, BV or LR) and offshore structural codes
Experience with hull and topsides interface management
Degree in Civil, Structural, Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering
Able to work onsite in Kuala Lumpur and coordinate across multidiscipline teams
