QC Inspector General Welding

Overview

Inspects welded components and welding procedures for compliance with contract, design and industry code requirements.

Scope of work

Reports to the QA/QC Lead; supports implementation of the Quality Management System across manufacturing/fabrication, maintains welding-procedure and inspection records, examines welds/joints for correct technique, assists qualifying welders, documents non-conformities, and prepares inspection reports for the contractor relationship.

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related field
• 10 years inspection experience in EPC and/or equivalent facilities/projects
• Able to read, write and speak English
